#30 on the Fruit Loop Map
Our fruit is available by the season of the fruit. Each fruit has a different growth date. See our Season & Directions Section for approximate dates for your favorite fruit. Season times may change each year due to weather so always check our home page for what is being u-picked (or call us) as your favorite fruit may be EARLY or LATE in any given year.
PET POLICY CHANGE:
Pets can no longer be allowed in the orchard due to federal food and GAP requirements for a commercially run orchard/farm.
Please plan on any pets staying in your vehicle.
-- U-Picking Rules --
Cherries, Peaches, Pears, and Apples
1.NO climbing in the trees, breaking or removing any of the tree’s limbs or branches.
2.NO use any ladders, wagons or other vehicles to reach fruit.
3.Do NOT break fruit off in clumps. Pick single with stem to preserve fruit life at home and crop for next year.
4.NO throwing fruit and pick only where you are directed to pick – do NOT go into trees marked as NO PICKING. Those cherries are already sold to our commercial client.
5.CHERRIES ONLY: Keep dark colored cherries and light colored cherries (rainiers) in separate buckets. If light cherries are mixed with darks then the higher price per pound will be charged. NOTE: If light colored are found in the bottom of the bucket when packaging charges will be revised to higher price. This applies when light cherries are available for u-pick.
6.CHERRIES ONLY: Bring all buckets immediately to fruit stand to pay as buckets are needed for our next guest. Do NOT sit in the picnic area with full cherry buckets. You will be asked to pay immediately.
We advise you wear appropriate shoes. Sampling is available in the fruit stand for most of our cherries.
NOTE: Anyone observed ‘breaking’ any of these rules will be instructed by the orchard personnel to pay for their products and leave the premises.
We advise you wear appropriate shoes.
May 2006 Picture – Cherry Crop
U-picking is available for cherries, peaches, pears, and apples. Owner, Ken Tamura, is shown with our (2006) crop of cherries on our dwarf trees which are easy for children and seniors to pick. The cherries are usually ripe and ready in July – opening day is always July 1st!
